Zinolone (triamcinolone acetonide suspension for injection USP)
is a synthetic (man-made) corticosteroid. It is more potent type of triamcinolone, being about 8 times as effective as prednisone. Zinolone is used to provide relief for inflamed areas of the body. They lessen swelling, redness, itching, and allergic reactions. It is often used as part of the treatment for a number of different diseases, such as severe allergies or skin problems, asthma, or arthritis. Zinolone should not be used by those with tuberculosis or untreated fungal, bacterial, viral or herpes infections without consulting a doctor first.

For Intra-articular or intradermal Indications: Treatment of inflammatory process of joints and tendon sheath, pain, swelling, stiffness assoceiated with rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, dermatologic disease.
Zinolone is useful for some skin problems.It is widely use by dermatologist for pimple problems, keloids, rosacea (enlarge blood vessels accompanied by pimples emerge) etc.
CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY
Glucocorticoids, naturally occurring and synthetic, are adrenocortical steroids that are readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract.Naturally occurring glucocorticoids (hydrocortisone and cortisone), which also have salt-retaining properties, are used as replacement therapy in adrenocortical deficiency states. Synthetic analogs such as triamcinolone are primarily used for their anti-inflammatory effects in disorders of many organ systems.
INDICATIONS AND USAGE
The intra-articular or soft tissue administration of Zinolone (triamcinolone acetonide injectable suspension, USP) is indicated as adjunctive therapy for short-term administration (to tide the patient over an acute episode or exacerbation) in acute gouty arthritis, acute and subacute bursitis, acute nonspecific tenosynovitis, epicondylitis, rheumatoid arthritis, synovitis or osteoarthritis.The intralesional administration of Zinolone Injection (triamcinolone acetonide injectable suspension, USP) is indicated for alopecia areata; discoid lupus erythematosus; keloids; localized hypertrophic, infiltrated, inflammatory lesions of granuloma annulare, lichen planus, lichen simplex chronicus (neurodermatitis), and psoriatic plaques; necrobiosis lipoidica diabeticorum. zinolone Injection may also be useful in cystic tumors of an aponeurosis or tendon (ganglia).CONTRAINDICATIONSZinolone Injection (triamcinolone acetonide injectable suspension, USP) is contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to any components of this product.Intramuscular corticosteroid preparations are contraindicated for idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura.
